The system covers all requirements of front-desk and admissions and it includes:

Reception & Cash Registry
  • Reception for patients, with fast and easy personal data storage and retrieval.
  • Easier and visually aided fast selection process for ordered tests.
  • Automatic cost tally, according to individual price lists from public and private medical insurance plans, as well as those of the Medical Center.
  • Automatic control for eventual insurance plan caps.
  • Automatic control for outstanding payments, or pending referrals from the insurance company.
  • Printouts of financial documents in accordance with public and private insurance price lists, as well as those of the Medical Center, matching the ordered tests.
  • Automatic Updates of the Patient Book.
  • It keeps the patient informed on the timetable and the manner in which the results will be reported.
The tabs are dynamically customizable by each Medical Center and include all demographic and medical details of the patient. Data can be recovered very easily thanks to a special identification system for patients. Tabs are automatically updated with all medical and financial data recorded for the patient from all other subsystems of the application.

Note: It is not necessary to re-enter the test orders once the patient has agreed to the costs after the initial calculation.

Sampling/Sample Routing
  • Gi-Maxima Premium calculates the routing of blood and other types of samples as well as sample sorting.
  • It prints barcode and/or RFID labels.

Patient Scheduling
Gi-Maxima Premium is designed to support programming of complex, large volume operations. It has the ability to handle complex functions that require cooperation and coordination of several departments and doctors of the Medical Center, and use of machines, clinics, surgeries etc.

Using Scheduling allows the operator to receive telephone calls and to schedule visits, controlling real-time availability of these resources. With the confirmation of the appointment, the tests order is automatically recorded and the system will be ready to issue the necessary documents when it is time for economic handling.

Test & Patient Health Records
Gi-Maxima Premium monitors the services offered and automatically presents the price list according to which type of coverage the patient has (pension funds, insurance companies, public health care, or private). It can print certified documents, as well as printouts of health care records of upcoming patients.

Issuing Result Forms
Gi-Maxima completely covers all requirements for “intelligent” results printing, either during the daily workflow, or from result archives. In both cases, the operation is the same, and the result forms are uniform.

The system has an “intelligent” way of dealing with large volumes of printouts and has special characteristics, the lack of which would hinder the operation of a Medical Center:
  • Batch printing (all results), sorting results by last and first name, department, date, code, etc.
  • Batch printing for only one department or only one category of tests.
  • Results for a single test order.
  • Results by attending physician.
  • Only selected tests and not all tests of the category.
  • In the case of a new batch printing, it may limit results only to recent ones, if required.
  • Batch printing of day results, regardless of result printouts already issued.
  • Printing only fully processed requests and not open or pending ones.

Results Distribution
Delivery of checked and approved result reports may be agreed upon with the patient in advance and may be done in any of the following ways:

  • To the Patient:
  • Directly (via printout)
  • Sent by fax
  • Sent by email
  • Sent by post
  • Sent by courier service

  • To the Doctor:
  • Sent by fax
  • Sent by email
  • Sent by post
  • Sent by courier service

Printouts may include the Medical Center logo, the doctor’s signature, and the corresponding folder/envelope printout.
